A Tough Beauty

My Iceberg rose arrived in late May here in Wenatchee in 2023. The summer turned out to be extremely hot unusually early. I wasn't sure the newly planted rose would make it. Now, in the May of 2024, I am admiring the robust, white blooms that keep coming and the healthy appearances of the rose overall.

Early Review

Plants arrived healthy and have done well the first few weeks in ground. Too soon to know what will happen next. Ordered 3 directly from Jackson & Perkins in spring and all were bare root, thrived for about 4 months, and then 2 just total died in summer. All in pots, same sun, same water schedule. Have also tried David Austin and the 2 from there, similar size and type to these have done well. Never know! But fingers crossed!

small but mighty

Soft fragrance and prolific blooms. I order several roses for my new home. The garden, both front and back, had been neglected for 20 years. But with our interior remodle running behind, I was unable to plant this little iceberg for 3 weeks. I kept it well watered, and it thrived in it's original pot, producing 6 lovely blooms in just 2 weeks. CL iceberg is now in it's permanet home along with Agatha Christie nearby. Both are doing well! I'm very pleased and can't wait until it grows to it's full maturity!
