I have so much to say about this glorious beast! I live in Savannah, GA (8b) and I’ve decided to go no-spray in my garden because I’m a crazy person or something. Well, Crystalline is absolutely thriving!! Her blooms are humongous and the petals are super thick and each petal ends up being about the size of the palm of my hand. Because I’ve gone no-spray in the deep, unforgiving South, I have some thrips. Crystalline doesn’t seem to care at all. She eats thrips for breakfast (not literally, of course). But honestly, what rose doesn’t shrivel in the face of a thrip? Crystalline, that’s who! Her blooms are perfectly white (a warm, inviting white, but not cream or yellow). She seems to be happy enough in heat and humidity, although she is shaded by a huge magnolia tree from 12-2. She’s effortless and I’d like to scatter a bunch more of her throughout my rose beds. This rose is a 10/10!!
