Pretty pretty but tons of thorns

We live in Illinois near St. Louis mo. And I bought this rose mainly because my husbands name Is Daniel and I'm pretty much the only one who doesn't call him Danny. I loved this lovely red rose but be forewarned the Mossing effect on this rose means thorns all the way till the flower. Luckily it didn't seem to need or like a lot of messing with. Because when I did I mean ouch. Lol. But the blooms really are quite lovely.
