A most amazing rose.

Distant Drums is one of the hardiest roses I own. Disease resistant and once established, it grows like crazy! Keep up with deadheading and the blooms will keep coming. For an added treat it puts out very large hips which the squirrels love. I live in Zone 8 and this is one rose I can count on every year being absolutely gorgeous.

Such a beautiful rose.

Of the three roses I purchased and planted last year, this is the slowest starter. I will be honest in that, I didn't expect her to survive the winter. It was a harsh one and she didn't go into it in the best shape. But she's hanging in there and looking good. Still small but looks healthy and has a few buds. I am babying her and I think she is going to be fine.
