Also known as Golden Wave, this Dutch Hybrid Tea set the standard for greenhouse roses when it appeared on the market. Dr. A.J. Verhage is a short-growing bush but produces tons of lovely buds that open to show amber stamens, and the strongly fragrant blooms contrast beautifully with the dark green foliage. He is a favorite of pollinators for obvious reasons! His strong disease resistance has made him a perfect parent plant to some of our other favorite roses including Just Joey, Julia’s Rose, and French Lace.
