Easy on the Eyes truly fits every definition of the phrase. Decades of hybridizing to enlarge the magenta purple eye have resulted in an extremely novel color combo with a lavender-pink flower coloration. Easy on the Eyes takes the prize when she is described as floriferous. There are so many flowers held in large clusters on this round plant that you can barely see the dark green and glossy foliage. Expect her to stay healthy during the entire growing season and emit a moderate, citrus-like fragrance.

Interesting Rose

I bought 4 of these shrub roses. Planted them all the same as far as I can tell. Two bloomed the first year, although thinly. This year so far the new growth is looking very full and robust. The other two threw out a couple of blooms and scraggly foliage. So far they are barely coming back this year. Go Figure.

Great shrub, doing so well!

I am new to roses, and this was my first purchase in June. I planted it on my birthday, and within three weeks, blooms! Now, almost two months after planting, it's putting out beautiful new growth all over the place, including four basal breaks. Just doing fabulously and I can't wait to see how it matures in my zone 8b garden. I'll admit, I was so pleased with this one, I immediately bought several others from Heirloom and now I'm hooked! This is my gateway rose!

Healthy plants

I bought this rose because I'd made some other bolder choices for this garden and I felt this was just one I'd be happy with for years to come; a more conservative choice. The plants arrived in good shape and put out new leaves immediately. It hasn't bloomed yet but it's healthy and growing. So far I've had nothing but good results from heirloom roses.

Healthy and blooming

I ordered three roses and Easy on the eyes is already blooming after only a month in the pot! First blooms are a soft lavender and healthy foliage. Will be ordering more :)

So many fragrant blooms!

I planted this last fall at the back of my south-facing zone 6b border. Now I'm wishing I'd placed it front and center because I find myself going back there every day to smell its sweet perfume. Of the four "moderately fragrant" varieties I planted last fall, this is the only one that actually has any scent at all - enough to smell it without having to stick your nose into the flower. The plant is so healthy it threw out a basal cane this spring. Flowers open a much brighter magenta-orange, then fade to the gorgeous light lavender with deep eyes in the pictures. So pretty!
