We grew 350 rose plants in southern Oregon. Of those, Elina was our favorite. Strong, continual large blooms of gorgeous pale yellowish, fading to white edges, stronger yellow in the center. Later in the summer, Elina bloomed with more white until fully opened, when the yellow splashed in beauty. Wonderful fragrance, disease resistant (even leaf cutter bees). Loved to have bouquets of Elina in our home all spring through fall.
I just learned from another review that Elina is in the same level of quality as: Just Joey, Graham Thomas, Peace, Fragrant Cloud, Queen Elizabeth, Iceberg, New Dawn, Fire and Ice, etc. as they have won the World's Favorite Rose award by experts around the world. http://www.worldrose.org/hall-of-fame.html
near Seattle, zone 8.
Disease free, blooms until December!
Warm, clear yellow buds open to palest of yellow blooms that fade to white. Vigorous grower with long stems. A prolific bloomer. Also very disease resistant.
