Purchase was a last minute decision to fill in some slow growing ground cover areas in full sun. What a happy accident - the lovely small blooms are perfect and the plant is growing amazingly quickly.

I planted four of these beauties on a large dry slope, under a large spruce tree, in unamended loose soil. They have covered the slope and produce an abundance of cherry-red roses in a main spring flush with recurring blooms throughout our dry summer and wet fall. One plant was brutalized by construction workers and has completely renewed itself. Does not disappoint!

Midland to me means bountiful blooms of smaller size. Color is spectacular red/fuchsia with ruffled petals. Blooms are clustered like grapes. Lovely in small arrangements. Low and vigorous grower.
