Golden Gate is a fantastic rose!

I planted a Golden Gate at my last home, and cannot wait to get a new one for my new home. This is the first in ground rose I ever planted, and my yard was not the most well lit place. Despite a huge learning curve on my part and not ideal growing conditions (I.E. North Wall/less than 8 hours of sun), this sturdy beauty thrived and grew very quickly. The flowers are beautiful, starting off a medium yellow that lightens to a softer yellow as the blooms open. This one also grew a bit taller than 8’, I guesstimate it reached about 12’ by the end of the first year. I pruned it back twice a year, and it still grew above our roofline. I live in Zone 8B.
