I am in NC, so our conditions are much more extreme than the west coast. We go from zero degrees and snow to long sultry summer months with highs close to 100 degrees. This rose bush has perhaps lived up to, and surpassed, its hype. The rose has been blooming for 5 years now. It's blooms are beautiful as ever, although it has struggled somewhat this year to throw significant new branches. I try not to spray pesticides, but use neem oil occasionally to keep away moth larvae growth in the spring and Japanese beetles and katydids in June/July/August, Overall, I am very satisfied with High Sheriff, and enjoy its wonderful color and scent.
This rose is now my favorite! It blooms continuously with bright coral/orange blooms that smell great and the foliage is also healthy. This is my first experience with this color, generally I favor pinks, but I’m a believer now in the bright orange palette. Highly recommend, I’m in the San Diego area.
