Joyful Romantic

Note: Peonies start to ship in November based on availability and your zone, unlike other products. Plant around or after your first frost but before the ground freezes.

Joyful Romantic is a modern, herbaceous Peony introduced in 2019. It produces lush, fully double blooms in a warm peach tone, with soft cream and coral shading at the base. Each flower forms a rounded shape with gently ruffled petals. Stems reach about 32–34", and blooms appear in early to mid-season. Hardy in Zones 3–8, Joyful Romantic is lightly fragrant and excellent for cut flower arrangements. As a newer introduction, this variety is extremely rare and available only in very limited quantities.

Joyful Romantic is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.

Fall Planting Instructions:

  1. Choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.

  2. Dig a hole 12-18” deep. Mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. Add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.

  3. Place Peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.

  4. Water well.
