These babies are just awesome

I'm relatively new to the world of gardening, so I was hesitant to buy flowers from an online nursery. But the flowers arrived completely intact, and they've been blooming like crazy even in the cold, cloudy Bay area weather. These roses are absolute winners.

Heat tolerant Rose

I love Julia Child. It gives me large gorgeous yellow blooms that can fill a vase. Over the years my front yard has gotten hotter and because of tree removal we are getting a lot more sun. I have moved many roses to the back yard and lost quite a few due to the heat. Julia Child has done very well. It seems to not be bothered by the heat. It is now over 5 feet tall and has long sturdy canes. It is not deer resistant though. This year I was just ready to cut the first blooms. The rose was full of blooms but needed one more day before I could cut them and bring them in to fill my vases full of these gorgeous flowers. The next morning I went out to cut the roses and they had been completely eaten by the deers. Pruned properly throughout the summer and you will have many flushes of flowers throughout the summer. Just remember to use something to deter the deer.

One of the best

I have been planting Julia Child for a year. It’s one of the best! Very easy to grow, very healthy, and endlessly blooming.
