Currently Growing! This Rose Will Be Available Again When It Meets Quality Standards
  • Container Friendly

Looking for another option for a deep red rose? You have found it in Kardinal™! Another Kordes favorite, Kardinal™ features scarlet red, 4-6" flowers presented as solitary blooms on dark, strong stems against dark green, leathery foliage. She features thick petals averaging 30-35 per bloom. We love her for her resistance to powdery mildew and because she does so well in pots or beds.

Perfect cut flower on a healthy plant

The flowers are just like a red Valentine's Day rose. The petals are tough, thick, and long-lasting. The flower is a rich red, perfectly shaped, with a high center. The foliage is disease-free. Also , it's very highly rated by the ARS.

Not scarlet red

This is my 1st plant of Kardinal, and finally have received two blooms. It’s not red, it’s salmon color. Do not know if it has any fragrance but 3-4 inch of bloom. Unique color for sure.

Most Prolific Bloomer!

I grew KORlingo (Kardinal) in Las Vegas about 15 years ago. It was the MOST prolific bush I’ve ever grown. After the spring bloom one year, I cut 111 blooms off of it... only ONE bush... yes 111 blooms. That’s not a typo!

You can fill a dozen vases at a time with med to long stemmed scarlet-red roses, that last much longer than most cut roses! No mildew issues (at least in Las Vegas), but not much fragrance either (you get one or the other!) Still well worth it!
