Fragrant beauty!

I actually bought my rose at an end of the year sale at a local farm store. Every year, I hit the 75% off sales to find dying treasures that need rehab. This little dried up shrub gave me great joy for the last couple months before winter. I soaked it in a bucket of water for about a week, watching for new growth. Its large, dusty mauve, thickly petaled blooms were not only beautiful, but also were so wonderfully fragrant. It is now my most favored rose!

Exquisite bloom

I live in FL Zone 9a and planted Le Petit Prince in a pot three weeks ago. When it arrived, it was completely defoliated for purposes of shipping. Now it has taken off with leaves and new growth in abundance, and I have my first exquisite bloom! The fragrance is lovely and there are at least five more blooms developing.

When potting, I used a mix of Heirloom Living Soil with some other potting soils, the Heirloom Bone Meal, and watered it in with Founders Fish Fertilizer before topping with Mint Compost. I am amazed at the growth this plant has put on in such a short time in fairly rainy conditions. The bloom I have is more pink than lavender, and I am curious whether the blooms will vary in color depending on the outside temperatures — looking forward to finding out!

Strong lemon fragrance

This is more of a hybrid tea for me compared to floribunda. Each stem one to two big flowers, long enough for cut flower. When the bud starts to bloom, fragrance is sooo nice, strong lemon fruity smell
