  • About Liebeszauber®
  • Other Details
  • Hard to pronounce but a joy to grow, Liebeszauber® is German for “spell of love” or “aphrodisiac”, and this rose definitely has us under her spell. She features shapely pointed buds set against glossy green leaves and produces huge red blooms with tight, spiral centers. After opening, the blooms become loosely cupped with wavy, infolded petals in the center. Her foliage also matures from red to green as she ages. Liebeszauber® is a vigorous grower and produces many basal breaks resulting in more strong canes and more blooms for next season!

Beautiful red rose

Liebeszauber is a long lasting gorgeous red rose. Planted in the fall in Zone 6, Southeast Michigan. It bloomed almost immediately upon receiving it, cut one of the blooms and it lasted a full week in a vase. Looking forward to 2018 to see this rose bloom once again.

A Beauty

Liebeszauber makes large reddish rose flowers . It is a good producer even here in Hawaii. I bought a second one and am hoping for continued good results. Thank you Heirloom for your consistent good service and being reliable!

My favorite red rose....

It is a strong and vigorous grower, producing near-perfect flowers. Heavily feed, though, or repeat blossoms won't be as large as the first bloom.
Visitors often exclaim over its beauty.

One of the best reds!

I've had this rose in my garden for 5 years now. It is just gorgeous! It blooms so prolifically in early June that we used it coupled with Pink Peace in a huge bouquet on the cake table at my daughter's wedding. I received so many compliments on the roses! It takes a little break after the first flush here in southern Idaho and then comes back with a fewer blossoms, but keeps it up till nearly Thanksgiving. Just a lovely cut red rose. The bush has a nice, tidy shape too, with dark green leaves. No health problems to date.
