My favorite rose

This rose has been healthy from day 1, and I’m a lazy gardener, following basic instructions only. Aside from the health and vigorous growth, she shines like a gem in the mixed bed with native plants. I always get compliments and I love making bouquets with this rose.

Most importantly I like to always mention the work of those at heirloom roses. I am SO grateful I found them first when I got into roses. Almost every rose I have received has been healthy and you can see the love that goes into this business. The ones that haven’t have been replaced by heirlooms STELLAR customer service. Something you rarely come across from an online business these days. Worth every penny.

Love this rose

This rose has the most vibrant color which doesn't fade at all at maturity. It is very cold tolerant at zone 3 and really is care free. It is not as large as I thought it would be as it has only reached 3 feet tall, but it is just two years old.
I have bought three of them now (2 two for me in NW Montana and one for a good friend in central Oregon). All are thriving. I have one in a large pot and don't know now how it will do this winter. We'll see!

Took a minute, but it's amazing, even in its first year!

I received this rose in April. It was a cane with 2 leaves on it. While three others that I got at the same time were putting out lots of foliage and even buds, this one was just sitting there. I got advice from Heirloom Roses to cut MORE off the top than I had already done.... to promote growth. And it was off! It took about 6 weeks, but then it started putting on leaves and now (August) it has pushed out more than a dozen buds/blooms. Excellent rose! Beautiful color.
