This hydrangea is gorgeous! It has a beautiful pink, purple, and blue combo here in my mostly shady portion of my garden in 8b. A little sunlight (few hours) in the early morning followed by bright but shady conditions helped this plant grow and flower. My only downfall was the wet conditions of the winter and fall which prompted me to try to transplant. I did not successfully transplant into a pot which is my weakness not the plant’s. When I try again, my plan is to amend with the soil from Heirloom and plant where it has some overhead protection from the rain. Even with the soggy soil, it was still growing so it definitely has grit. I regret trying to transplant and should have left well enough alone. Will likely try this type and color again adding those two factors. If you follow the growing recommendations, I am sure she will be a beauty in your garden.
