The charming light crimson buds slowly open to reveal intense, velvety crimson blooms. The flowers are very full, forming small clusters of globular, old-fashioned, reflexed flowers that give off a strong old rose fragrance with warm, fruity notes of blackberry, blueberry, and damson. The bushy, spreading growth forms a broad shrub with medium, matte green foliage.

If you can find it, go for it!

This rose started in the ground and then got moved to a pot, where it appears to be much happier. A repeat bloomer but when it blooms, it blooms beautifully. It does battle black spot a bit but with regular spraying this can be kept under control. I don't get a very strong fragrance from it but it's still a worthwhile rose.
