I’m only able to pot roses in my location, and two years in this rose remains the hardiest BY FAR in the most unfortunate of circumstances, while also remaining in the smallest of pots. I’ve had it indoors with less than ideal lighting over extended periods, had it outside in the freezing cold, and nothing seems to bring this rose down.
It blooms beautiful off-white roses with the faintest of fragrance for more or less 9 months out of the year, and generally requires little maintenance. The one time I had it indoors for a long time, it got attacked by spider mites and I thought it was a goner and essentially defoliated the entire plant. A week and a half later? An insane amount of new growth; it had essentially gotten right back to where it was prior to the spider mite attack within a week and half! And I hadn’t even moved it back out yet!
I can’t say I love the look of the blooms, but then again I am impartial to the look of old roses. Moreover, that is NO reason to hate on an otherwise magnificent rose that is perfect for someone looking to try their hand at roses. Pacesetter requires so little effort, and has such amazing payoff!
One of the best white minis, along with Fairhope and Irresistible. Pacesetter has a brighter white color and leaner shape than the other two.
