  • Other Details
  • Rosy Hedge produces clouds of single, rich pink 2 ½” blooms with 5 petals that are brushed cream in the center. She is a vigorous, continually blooming, bushy plant with dark green foliage. We love her as an outstanding landscape plant or a magnificent hedge. We recommend planting bushes 3’ apart for the best hedge impact.

reliable show stopper

In 2007 I planted 75 linear feet of these bushes. They began as wee little starts and are now robust plants easily 8' high if allowed. Zone 7, full and unrelenting sun and windy conditions in winter. They have made a wonderful hedge, blocking out critters and uninvited guests, while rewarding the neighborhood with their first glorious bloom in May. Reblooms after. No deadheading required although I deadhead a little to maintain shape and health. The last few years, mine have developed powdery mildew and black spot, I've not successfully overcome this problem despite the usual environmentally friendly remedies. Thinning out the middle of the bushes and managing air circulation definitely helps. Highly recommend, but watch for the usual suspects of black spot and mildew .
