I bought this rose for my sister, who lives in San Antonio and it's performed magnificently for her, putting out gorgeous apricot-to-amber blooms for her with a heady, spicy scent. I wish I could buy one for myself, but she's in Zone 9 and my Coastal area's been pushed to Zone 10. I notice some of my roses designated for Zone 9 do excellently here, like my Sunbelt Plum Perfect and my Good As Gold. But, a few have shown strain and I've become cautious. I might give in to temptation and buy St Tropez and put her in a container. She's so utterly lovely and I can give her to another relative in San Antonio if she shows stress down here. But, she's definitely doing awesome in Zone 9.
Great so far
Only in the ground 2 months. Arrived later then the others but that's okay it is growing great and has been blooming regularly. It's so pretty my dog took a bite out it. The bush recovered very well. My roses now have a fence around them.
It is one of the most beautifully yellow large roses on long green stems that I have ever seen and the fragrance is soft but beaautiful.
