  • Other Details
  • Evoking the beautiful days of summer, this is just the rose for those of you who like light and bright. Summer Wind has single 4 " blooms with 5-7 petals. Her coloring is superb and clean– a pure orange-pink with a sunny center. The blooms come in clusters and are produced in great numbers on a continual blooming bush. Summer Wind is well foliaged with dark, leathery green leaves which provide a perfect backdrop for the striking blooms. As an added benefit, both the flowers and the foliage have a delightful fragrance.

Lovely scented shrub

I grew this rose in my Santa Cruz, CA garden years ago. It quickly formed a 4 foot round shrub that was effortlessly beautiful in my garden and covered with flowers much of the time. All parts of the shrub smell good, and after I pruned or deadheaded it, my hands would smell like roses. The cut flowers did surprisingly well, too.
