  • Other Details
  • Summer Wine is a favorite of pollinators, and her  delicate, nearly single 3 1/2" flowers provide an airy effect of butterflies. Her petals are a rich apricot-coral color, shading to gold at the base. We love her scalloped petals accentuated by striking red anthers. She is a quick-establishing Climber that can’t wait to start pumping out heavily scented blossoms. Summer Wine is a romantic, continually blooming Climbing Rose perfect for gardens in zones 5-10.

Beautiful and fragrant

This rose is truly beautiful and so unique. I love single bloom roses. It smells amazing and the blooms are quite large. I have mine in a pot on my deck so the plant itself is small but it pumps out lots of blooms. They shatter pretty quickly..especially in hot weather so that’s kinda a bummer but they truly are show stopping. The bees love it too! Might move it into the ground this year to see if it gets larger.

Took Off!!!

This rose is at the end of my 5 run 16’X25’ dog kennel facing due west. It is in full sun and gets lots of water as I hose out the kennel every day or 2. I have posted a big ☠️ on the door of that middle run so I use no bleach or pine-sol in that run. Several canes are already as big around as my thumb and 5’ long. I tie them loosely to the chain link wire to shape it’s spread. SOOOOO happy with it❣️❣️❣️

It can get huge!

LOVE this rose! It's been five years since I purchased and planted it and it's been wonderful! I find its scent is best midday in full sun! It does need a good amount of space. Take note - the canes get really thick and are covered with huge prickers. Good thick gloves are a must when working with this rose! A quick grower.

Outstanding climber

The photo does not do this rose justice. It is a gorgeous apricot-pink with a lighter center and beautiful golden stamens. Lovely spicy fragrance I can smell across the yard. It requires tying up.
