Summer Heat was too much.

Right after I planted it, we were hit with that horrible heat wave from last summer. The little rose tried to grow but couldn't make it. It was the intense heat we had, not the rose. I lost several other plants due to the heat also.

Healthy plant!

I was nervous purchasing through the mail, but this rose truly arrived in a great state. After 2 days, it already has new growth!

Not so much

This is a very healthy rose planted in a 1/2 wine barrel. It grows like crazy, but not too many blooms. My bad. I didn't see that it was a climber before I purchased. I don't know where I'm going to put it. But for now I have been disappointed in the number of blooms. It has only bloomed on the ends of those long stems, which I have had to cut back once this spring. It has hot sun for half a day, and I feed it fish fertilizer. Any suggestions?
