I purchased Vineyard song in 2022 just by the photo. I must say that in life it is even more beautiful, the way the color variation on the petals develope. I live in hot, dry SE New Mexico zone 7A and the plants arrived in excellent condition and bloomed within weeks a little. Now after wintering over one year they are full of buds snd I can't wait to enjoy them. Please get some more going as I need a few more!
I am in humid, hot & mosquito laden south Georgia (zone 8B). This rose is just wonderful in every way. If I don't get 1 of my own soon I shall surely perish! I have been admiring & coveting my next door neighbors Vineyard Song for years, it seems. My neighbor is very generous & understanding as she's enamored by VS too .. but I've just got to have my own Vineyard Song! & soon so please grow some more as soon as you can. VS does very well in zone 8B; he sends out tons of perfect teeny little roses in gorgeous colors with a fragrance to die for. PLEASE PLANT VS SOON!! Thank-you!
I live in sub-tropical Florida where EVERYONE of the most disease resistant roses succumb to fungus ! :( just depends on how bad they're going to get it. My vineyard song rose is one of my top favorites!! Even in our extreme heat & humidity, it holds its unique color. Blooms in clusters like bunches of grapes. The clusters get bigger as the rose matures. It Gets some leaf spot ( not black spot ) but light spray fixes the prob. Each little rose has perfectly arranged petals. For such small roses, the clusters it puts out, how perfectly arranged the petals are & its color is just breathtaking - I can't get enough of this rose!!
I was looking for Vineyard Song after I had a good experience with its sibling - Sweet Chariot , a miniature rose. Both being creations of eminent Miniature Rose Hybridizer , Mr. Ralph Moore , they are known for their vigor and disease resistance. I found Vineyard Song on this site , and ordered it on Feb 4 , 2016. It arrived well - packed , the media moist , the canes - albeit bare , were tall - about 18 inches , and verdant with the promise of life. I placed it in a large pot a week after arrival , and soon enough , the crimson buds started to leaf out. I am in 7A USDA Zone , in West Texas , and the Vineyard Song is covered with lush foliage , and buds are starting to develop now - March 8 , 2016. It is a fast grower in our area because of the warm day temperatures of Texas. Looking forward to the fragrant blooms ! I am impressed with the quality of the Vineyard Song , my first order from Heirloom Roses , and just ordered Elle and Memorial Day !
