  • Winter Hardy
  • Pollinator Friendly

William Baffin is a vigorous, extra hardy shrub or climber. Clouds of eye-catching deep strawberry pink, semi-double blooms are touched with white toward the center that look like an artist painted a slender white line down the center of the inner petals. The entire effect is set off by his golden stamens and small red-orange hips that will appear in the winter. He blooms in large clusters throughout the season and has outstanding disease resistance. You can expect William Baffin to offer repeat blooms.

Slow starter, then BAM!

After I first planted this it sort of languished for about three years. But it was pretty enough. Then this Spring it took off. Lots of flowers. Beautiful beautiful color. It’s my new favorite rose. What a color! So clear and pure.

A nonstop blooming rose for over twenty years!

Love this rose! It is in the back corner of our yard and is spectacular. Covers our six foot fence with the most beautiful display of blooms. The neighbors comment every year how it keeps going through the droughts we have been having and now hail. Wish I had room for another one. Three neighbors have bought it too????.

A nice addition!

Very cheerful pinkish-red blooms in clusters and single. 2020 is its first full year. The plant wintered over nicely - no dieback and the first rose to set bud this Spring (Zone 7 - Central NJ). Blooms don't seem to like the hot/humid weather for our unseasonably warm Spring. Blooms fell apart at 80-85 degrees. Still, a nice addition to my garden!

Reliable and huge climber in my garden

This is a very hardy rose, expected of the Explorer Series. I’ve had mine for 15 + years and it is now very tall, like a rambler, and is covering part of a pergola which it shares with wisteria. It covers itself in blossoms in late spring but does not have much repeat. It is planted in full sun, but poor soil, and stands up to wind and snow and never seems to suffer. This is a tough rose for harsh climates and performs through thick and thin!

Continuous pink rose show

This rose is a constant bloomer with large, bright pink blooms that last. The bush is not at all fussy, and grows tall and strong. I have no problem with my cold zone 5 winters, or the hot, sometimes humid summers in Michigan. I would recommend this rose to new gardeners and gardeners without a lot of time to prune or fertilize. It is a large rose, so plant it where it's height and girth won't be a problem.
