Love how well packed this rose was. Arrived in perfect shape and began leafing out almost immediately. Heirloom knows its stuff. Have already ordered again.
I received my Scepter'd Isle in great shape and planted it per instructions. It began leafing out almost immediately. I can't believe it but, although it's only been a couple weeks since planting, it already has two buds. Just a lovely plant arrived in great shape. Thanks, Heirloom!
I can’t imagine that Heirloom is actually expecting anyone to review the optional plastic pot you can order with a rose, but I’m game, anyway.
I absolutely understand why the default rose shipment selection is for a biodegradable bag in cardboard. It makes sense and is a great choice for the environment.
For those of us who grow other plants throughout the year, high quality one gallon pots aren’t easy to come by, without ordering in quantities not conducive to hobby gardeners.
Therefore, if you need one gallon pots and you’re ordering a rose from Heirloom anyway, $1 is more than a fair price to pay.
In future years, I’ll probably be potting up tomatoes I’ve started from seed in these pots. They would also be useful for propagating perennials. All in all, it’s a great pot for a great price, and I highly recommend it.
There are plenty of great ways to reduce your carbon footprint, should you be worried about the ecological impact of ordering your rose in a plastic pot.
This is my second year with this rose and I'm completely new to roses. It is so beautiful. I'm training it to grow up a trellis arch! Last year, I used some of the fish fertilizer and added mint compost last fall and this spring. I'm also putting pots of marigolds and mints nearby to deter pesky pests! This has been a fun and rosy adventure!
This rose has the most amazing scent, I can’t get enough of it! And the blooms are a stunning color and form. We’re enjoying watching them climb and grow year by year 🥰
When I received my Morden Blush roses, I was so pleased with how healthy they looked. The packaging was great and they arrived without damage. I can't wait to see them start to bloom.
I ordered two of the Leonardo Da Vinci. Put them in terracotta pots and they look so healthy and full already. Been in the pots about a month. Can’t wait to see how they do as I haven’t had much luck with any of the other roses I have ordered from heirloom.
This rose took a couple of seasons to really start putting out. It is stunning. Has survived two late season freezes and mini drought just this year. Long lasting and great smelling blooms.
First bloom after about 4 weeks of planting. Getting established and healthy. Zone 9B/Houston, TX
Purchased this rose in April put into a large planter by May she had her first bud! I had been waiting to see her flower and I was not disappointed! She is a beautiful rose and smells great! I can’t wait to see her grow!
Planted my Ebb Tide in April and after one month I have a group of 5 buds. After yesterday’s rain shower, she completely opened up her first bloom and made my jaw drop first thing this morning! A showstopper for sure and totally reminded me of the rose from Beauty and the Beast when I saw it. I’m totally blown away by how well she’s thrived in her pot. With each rose bush I plant I feel like I’m doing more and more right. I added all the ingredients - organic soil without granular fertilizer, added cow manure, Omni meal, Founders Fish fertilizer, and mint compost. I’m so glad I added Ebb Tide to my collection, I love her dark purple color and the shape of her rose. Absolutely beautiful and can’t wait to update with more pictures as she progresses this season. Memorial Day is next to her and is 3 weeks newer with a bud opening soon too!
We just planted Flock of Flamingos a few weeks ago I have never tried to grow penstemon before. They are beautiful. I couldn’t ask for healthier plants Thanks so much
My rose arrived healthy, shamefully I have yet to plant it. It's still fine though. I have yet to enjoy the blooms
Can’t wait for my first blooms if they look half as good as the picture on the tag im going to be over the moon!!! It was my Mother’s Day gift but a love note to my husband!!!!! I purchased “ Eden “ climber that’s looking fabulous. I will be back for “ Sally Holmes “ next I just have to find a place to plant lol. Thank you, Heirloom Roses!!!!
I bought and planted Frida Kahlo last year and she immediately took off. She is healthy, happy, and full of bright and beautiful blooms. She definitely reminds me of her name's sake. I highly recommend this rose.
I planted Louise Odier in a not very nice plastic gray container last fall, and put her in our unheated garage for the winter--which was a very cold and snowy one this year (killing the Mme. Alfred Carriere I planted outside, alas). I am a beginning gardener, so it seemed a small miracle when she began growing again this spring--and now she's covered with over 25 fat pink fragrant buds! Rabbits nibbled her foliage last fall so she has a cage now, which seems to work. The only real problem so far is powdery mildew, which I am trying to address belatedly with a milk-water spray. She has had two feedings of fish emulsion fertilizer, in April and then May. Thank you, Heirloom Roses, for a promising start to my rose growing career!
I planted last year in fresh soil and compost, we had an extremely warm and dry winter and the roses are thriving today. I had some aphids at the start of the season but released lady bugs on them and everyone is doing great. Love my pretty yellow roses.
I RECEIVED ALL SEVEN OF MY NEW AND HEALTHY ROSE BUSHES IN VARIOUS COLORS AND I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THEM IN BLOOM. THEY ALL HAVE BEEN PLANTED AND I USED THE HEIRLOOM INSTRUCTIONS AND PRODUCTS WHEN PLANTING. THEY ARE MY "BABIES" NOW AND I WILL BE CONTACTING HEIRLOOM ON A REGULAR BASIS FOR FURTHER GROWING INSTRUCTIONS SO THAT THEY CAN GROW UP TO BE HEALTHY AND HAPPY PLANTS. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO KIND AND HELPFUL IN ASSISTING ME WITH MY CHOICES. I AM TRULY BLESSED TO HAVE FOUND YOUR COMPANY AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL ROSES ON THE INTERNET. TAKE CARE ... STAY SAFE, AND GOD BLESS!
The ordering process with Heirloom was top notch. They had a good response time with inquiries with my order. I ordered the Quatre Saisons . It arrived properly packaged and I was satisfied with the condition of the rose bush. I am looking forward to the first bloom in my garden. I will order from them again.
I had what I thought was a good place until a Baptisia grew so tall it overshadowed my new rose bush. So I rearranged another section to squeeze it in. One city lot isn’t big enough for everything.
Finally both roses were planted next to the arch on the backyard. This year the blooms are incredible awesome. See the pic.
I purchased this gold rose two years ago with a white rose as a romantic climbing combo. The first year they were planted on pits. This year, I decided to plant them on my backyard in the soil. I purchased an arch and planted each rose the yellow and the white climbing roses on each side of the arch. During the time they were planted on the pot, they grew but not like this year. On April this gold rose had more than 20 blooms that lasted for almost three weeks. See the picture. I expect next year the rose provides more blooms since after third year the roses reach the maturity.
Ordered and planted this rose early spring of this year (2026), which arrived in good condition and sturdy packaging. No blooms of course, but branching was strong for a young rose and leaves were healthy and green. My only concern is the arbor my husband built for it is in morning shade until about 11:30 but receives full sun for a good 6 plus hours afterwards. So, I'll need to keep an eye on it during the growing season. Will send pics of its first bloom.
