We had to call customer support for recommendations on which if any rose would survive in a difficult location. They didn’t recommend the roses we enquired about but suggested CL-Iceberg. We are very happy with the rose. It performs very well. This is its second season and it has doubled size. It is blooming well. It’s a hardy, disease free plant. Highly recommend! Listen to Heirloom’s recommendations!!
I have never attempted to grow roses because I thought it was hard to do and would require more sunlight than my yard had available. This rose has instilled a love for roses. When it arrived it was well packaged and had a nice healthy root system however with no leaves in bag. I was skeptical. However, I planted as instructed in a pot with good soil and water when dry. It has taken off. It lives in my living room and is blooming in winter. The growth it has put out is miraculous. In two months it has turned into a full bush with gorgeous vintage looking blooms. I am eager to put it outside once the weather is nice and watch it thrive.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're thrilled that this rose has sparked your love for rose growing. It's wonderful to hear about the healthy root system and impressive growth you've seen in just two months.
Important note about indoor growing: While we're so glad your rose is currently doing well, roses are outdoor plants and cannot thrive long-term indoors. For now, please treat this as overwintering—keep it in a cool location with minimal water until after your last frost date, then transplant it outside. Roses need full sun (6+ hours of direct sunlight daily), proper air circulation, and outdoor conditions to remain healthy. Keeping it actively growing indoors in your living room will eventually lead to problems like disease, pests, and decline, and unfortunately voids our warranty.
We're excited for you to plant it outside this spring where it will truly thrive! If you have questions about overwintering or spring planting, our team is here to help.
Thank you for choosing Heirloom!
My climber is almost 6 feet now, and covered with buds. Fell in love with this climber from a nursery, that had it clambering up the side of one of its outdoor 2 story buildings. Magnificent.
Very healthy and growing strong
