Eastern Star
| Note: Peonies start to ship in November based on availability and your zone, unlike other products. Plant around or after your first frost but before the ground freezes. |
Eastern Star is a classic herbaceous Peony introduced in 1975. It features pure white, bomb-shaped blooms—similar in form to Snow Mountain—that grow on sturdy 30–36" stems. The clean flowers pair well with bright green foliage and bloom in late spring. Hardy in Zones 4–8 and a beautiful choice for cut flower arrangements. This hard-to-find variety has limited quantities.
Eastern Star is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.
Fall Planting Instructions:
-
Choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.
-
Dig a hole 12-18” deep. Mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. Add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.
-
Place Peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.
