Nectaroscordum, which translates to “garlic that produces nectar,” is a unique plant known by several names since its discovery in the early 1800s. Formerly called Allium Bulgaricum and nicknamed Honey Garlic, this perennial produces tall stems of 36” topped with cascading and drooping bell-shaped flowers in shades of creamy green with purple striping. This is a long-lived plant and does well planted in groupings. It will naturalize slowly and self-seed from spent blooms. Nectaroscordum prefer full sun to partial shade and need very little care in zones 4-10 and planted 6” below the soil line.
Nectaroscordum is sold in packs of 10 for fall planting.
Planting Instructions:

Choose an area with good drainage that receives at least 6 hours of sun per day.

Dig planting holes 4 times the height of the bulb and spaced 6-8” apart.

Place bulbs with points facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the bulb.
