Apeldoorn is sold in packs of 10 for fall planting.

    Planting Instructions:

They came back another season!

phoenix arizona 9B here…We can grow tulips for a short season in the desert, but the bulbs “should” die during our brutal summers and not return.

I planted these tulips from Heirloom Roses (and a few other colors from a big box story) back in november 2023 and they bloomed spring 2024.

Fast forward to spring 2025 and these red apeldoorn tulips are popping back up out of no where! I couldn’t believe it! Especially after having the hottest summer on record in 2024… how did these bulbs survive?! Only these red tulips from Heirloom Roses have grew back.

This spot receives morning sun & late afternoon shade, which could have helped the bulbs survive our 117° days last july.

Super impressed and will be buying more this fall!
