On 2nd one - not an easy rose

This rose is planted next door to my 'mutant' best rose, Le Petit Prince which gets nearly 10 feet high with 15 bloom at all time. On my 2nd Burlesque, as just #1 suddenly died. It's planted in a prime spot, but like rge first one, maybe gives 3 small, beautiful roses a year. I wish it did better.(7A here)

burlesque

I bought my rose in Aug of last year. It put out a few new shoots this April and reading other reviews, I've been patiently waiting for buds to form. Yes, yes..I have 5 little buds forming! Anxiously waiting for blooms. lavender/purple are my favorite roses. Will add update when I have roses.

Lovely and reliable

Planted last year and didn't bloom much, but took off this year, it's now on the second flush of blooms this year. Beautiful color, long-lived blooms, and is showing great resistance to both blackspot and thrips (big problems in my area).
Im considering getting another.

Very attractive fragrance

I bought two in the Spring of 2021, with 2 iceberg. When I planted last year, I had only one flower. This year, the weather in Maryland (where I am, zone 7) was ... awful with two huge spring frost. The weather almost killed my young plants. But all 4 were growing when the temperature climbs more like spring. Iceberg plants offer lot of flowers. Only one burlesque (of the two) offer some small flowers. The color is nothing like the picture on Heirloom. I wish I could post the picture here. HOWEVER, I must say that its fragrance is very attractive -- deep, much like parfum. Also, it looks like its growing habit is arching. I love roses with fragrance; so I like it very much. Give me couple of years when my burlesque is mature, I'm hoping for more blooms; by then I will give it a 5. Until then....
