Beautiful rose...

Four months after planting and already climbing with two strong canes approximately 5' long. Just a touch of powdery mildew but easily diminished with Neem Oil spray. Tolerates shade well. Very pleased with all my roses from Heirloom.

Galway Bay

This rose is in its second season at our house and is doing beautifully. I just came in from cutting 3 for the table and am in love with the tight blooms and deep color. I wouldn’t call it pink but a rich coral. ????

In my garden, this rose is a beautiful coral, not pink at all. It's growing in partial shade and seems to tolerate heat well, after a difficult, dry summer with many days of temperatures in the high 90's and above. Bloom was somewhat sparse, probably because of the heat, but the blossoms I get were wonderfully fragrant and long lasting.

Growing with minimal sun - survived my deep shade error

I planted my Galway Bay in a place that turned out to be in constant shade. No sun at all! It took me 3 years to admit this and get around to moving it. I was impressed that under deep shade conditions that it lived and continued to make a healthy plant- just not bloom. I moved it to a place that gets some afternoon sun (still not a lot) and it is thriving, beginning to climb and make nice smelling blossoms.
